Cognitive psychology studies the foundations of various mental abilities such as imagination, attention, perception, learning, memory, reasoning and problem solving. It also includes emotional and motor factors. Cognitive psychology is in interdisciplinary exchange with computer science and neuroscience in particular and makes important contributions to other fields of research (e.g. ergonomics, didactics).
